The Certificate program is structured for participants to be able to complete in a 3-4 semesters. Participants are expected to take initiative to meet the program requirements, with the support of the Illinois Leadership Center. Please download the current important dates and timeline for this academic year.
To earn an Illinois Leadership Certificate, students must:
Register and attend an Orientation Workshop
Submit a Statement of Intent by the enrollment deadline
Meet regularly with a paired Leadership Coach (3-4 times per semester)
Submit a Personal Development Plan (PDP)
Attend 4 leadership programs
Complete 2 leadership courses
Participate in 2 non-classroom team experiences
Create a Leadership Portfolio which documents your leadership growth
Submit a completion form, approved by your Leadership Coach
