Graf Internship

If you are looking for a pre-professional work opportunity that allows you to plan, organize, and facilitate activities and programs while developing your leadership skills, consider applying for the Graf Internship at the Illinois Leadership Center. The Graf Internship is limited to four students per academic year. Graf Interns are responsible for overseeing the logistics and administration of the Leadership Center's I-programs, as well as other office priorities such as marketing, yearly intern recruitment, outreach, and coordinating the Student Leadership Advisory Team (SLAT).

A former student leader, John Graf and his wife Maureen created the Graf Internship Program for current Illinois students. As an Illinois student, John was involved in Student Alumni Association, Student Organization Resource Fee Board, Volunteer Illini Projects, student government, Mortar Board, and Greek Affairs. John had to work throughout his college years at the same time that he was such an involved student leader. He gave his gift to provide students who need to work the opportunity to develop their skills in the Leadership Center environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2.8/4.0 grade point average
  • Familiarity with the Illinois Leadership Center through previous program participation or enrollment in a leadership course
  • Junior or Senior standing during the term of the Internship
  • Available to work 15 hours per week from mid August - mid May
